Power system

BMW 7 F01-F02 (2008-2015) - fuse and relay box

  1. Generator;
  2. Battery positive output;
  3. Power distribution box in the engine compartment;
  4. Control electronics compartment in the engine compartment;
  5. Front fuse holder behind the glove compartment;
  6. Rear fuse holder on the right side of the luggage compartment;
  7. Accumulator batteries;
  8. Starter.

 

The BMW F01 / F02 has two separate fuse boxes. There are no fuses in the power distributors in the engine compartment. The front fuse holder is near the glove compartment, the rear fuse holder is on the right side of the luggage compartment.

It is located in the glove box.

The relays are marked with squares: signal relay, wiper relay and others.

Separately, we note:  fuses 54, 65, 147, 176 are responsible  for the  cigarette lighter  . Half of them are in the trunk.

Fuse box in the trunk

Due to the large number of receivers and control units in the luggage compartment, an additional fuse holder is installed. It is located on the right.

Together with the fuses, several additional relays are inserted into it or soldered on the board.

  1. Relay Terminal 30B (inserted);
  2. 30F contact relay (soldered);
  3. Relay contact 15N (soldered);
  4. Rear window heating relay (soldered).

Fuses on the battery

It is located in the trunk, under the lining.

The switch box on the battery is secured to the vehicle battery with a metal tab. To release the switch box, press the metal tabs downwards and outwards.

The switch box on the battery is equipped with fuses for the following electrical loads:

Fuse carrier front (250 A)
Fuse carrier rear (100 A)
Engine compartment distribution box (100 A)
– large electric fan (850 W or 1000 W)
Electric coolant pump (100 A)
Intelligent battery sensor IBS.
